Pablo Picasso And The Lady

Once, one of the greatest painters of all times, Pablo Picasso was in a market place. A lady saw him and said 'Mr Picasso, it's great to see you. I am a big fan of yours'. He said 'Nice to meet you'.The lady pulled out a piece of paper and a pencil and she said 'Mr Picasso, can you do a bit of art for me? Can you do a bit of drawing for me'? She asked in a voice which didn't seem to take a No for an answer. Picasso said 'absolutely'.

This the best piece of drawing I've ever had', the lady said. After saying that, she starts walking away. Picasso called her and said 'Ah! my dear lady, that will be a million dollars.' The lady, obviously shell- shocked by that statement looked at him and said 'Picasso. A million dollars? It took you just 30 seconds to do that'. He said 'My d…

Don't Quit- Poem

Since last few days I've been listening to various poems by the budding poets around the globe and enjoyed most of them. But then I came across this one which was so serene and motivating, that I really couldn't resist myself from sharing it with you guys. It somewhat goes like this:

When things go wrong as they sometimes will When the road you're trudging seems all uphill When the funds are low and the debts are high And you want to smile, but you have to sigh. When care is pressing you down a bit,  Rest, if you must, but don't you quit. Life is queer with it's twists and turns, As everyone of us sometimes learns And many a failure turns about, When he might have won had he stuck it out; Don't give up though the pace seems low You may succeed with another blow Often the gold is nearer than, It seems to be a faint and faltering man. Often the struggler has given up When he might have captured the victor's cup And he learnt too late when the night slipped down, How close he …

Do you think that the people around you are growing leaps and bounds in terms of their financial, mental and physical health, except you? Do you feel ostracized when your friends become highly rich and successful, while you’re still paying bills and playing small with your life?
If so, then here are the 5 main reasons why you are not successful till now.
Lack Of Self Belief - Tom thinks that he is good at nothing. He gives a competitive examination, while thinking at the back of his mind that he won’t clear it, and he doesn’t. Tom gets married to a beautiful woman, but feels that it might not last long. Guess what? It doesn’t. Don’t you reckon that you are very much like Tom.

For real, you think that success is an esoteric, elusive thing only made for the elite group.  If you want to be successful, then the first thing which you’ve got to do is to declare war on your cynical belief system. You’ve got to believe that if anyone has done it at any point in the history, you can …

Stop Blaming....Start Doing

Some people say that our government is inefficient and our laws are too old. Some complain that the municipality does not pick up the garbage and our phones don't work. According to a few, the railways are a joke, the airline is the worst in the world and mails never reach their destination.

People say, say and say. What do they do about it?

In Singapore, they don't throw cigarette butts on the roads. They come back to the parking lot and punch their parking ticket if they have overstayed in a restaurant or a mall, irrespective of their status and identity. They don't say anything about it, do they?

We Indians won't dare to eat in public during Ramadan, in Dubai. We, who can respect and conform to a foreign system in other countries but cannot in our own. If we, who can be the law abiding citizens in an alien country, why cannot we be the same in our own land?

Everybody is there to abuse and exploit the country. Nobody thinks of feeding the system. Our conscience is m…
